Question

Why does my child have an in-toeing when walking on their left foot? This condition has been ongoing for about four months.

Answer

The causes of in-toeing may include physiological factors (which may improve on their own) and pathological factors, the latter of which could be due to a single cause or a combination of several. These causes might involve femoral internal rotation, tibial internal rotation, and foot adduction. To determine the cause, a medical examination is necessary. Based on the examination results, it can be decided whether to use corrective insoles for treatment. If there are difficulties with the examination, consider coming to our hospital for an assessment.
