For acute bronchiolitis caused by bacterial infection, the following antibiotics can be used for treatment: Compound Neo-Synephrine, 0.05 mg per kilogram of body weight taken twice daily orally, Penicillin G, 30,000 to 50,000 units per kilogram of body weight taken twice daily by intramuscular injection, or Metyrapone and Erythromycin, 30-50 mg per kilogram of body weight taken three to four times daily orally. If the bacterial infection is not confirmed or there is a mixed infection, Virazole can be used at 10-15 mg per kilogram of body weight taken twice daily by intramuscular injection, or 5 mg per kilogram of body weight taken twice for nebulization inhalation, or alpha-interferon can be tried at 200,000 units taken by intramuscular injection daily.
