Question

My child just gave birth and I don’t know what happened, there are always red spots on his body, and he keeps spitting up milk.

Answer

Infant respiratory distress often occurs due to compression during childbirth or issues like umbilical cord wrapping around the neck. First, pinch the baby’s nose with one hand, then cover the baby’s nose and mouth with a paper, blowing air into the baby’s lungs until you see the baby’s chest rise. After two consecutive artificial respiration attempts, perform external chest compression, taking 1/3 of the sternum for external compression. The compression depth is about 1/3 of the anteroposterior chest diameter. The ratio of external chest compression to positive pressure artificial respiration is two breaths to 15 compressions per cycle. After five cycles, check the baby’s condition.
