Question
What is the difference between hand, foot, and mouth disease and chickenpox in relation to heat?
Answer
Although both hand, foot, and mouth disease and chickenpox patients may experience fever, there are significant differences between them. Chickenpox blisters are systemic, slightly larger with thin skin, and itchy; the rash of hand, foot, and mouth disease is mainly distributed on the hands, feet, and mouth, with less on the trunk, smaller in size with a redder hue, and less noticeable itching. There are more factors that can cause hand, foot, and mouth disease. If a child is diagnosed with hand, foot, and mouth disease, parents need to cooperate with the doctor for immediate treatment, cooperate with gastrointestinal decompression ,and cultivate good hygiene habits. Children should have a reasonable diet and avoid irritating or cold foods.
