Question
What’s going on with a 3-month-old baby still drooling?
Answer
Drooling in a 3-month-old baby is generally a normal physiological phenomenon. With the stimulation of food and the limited capacity of the baby’s oral cavity, the amount of saliva secretion increases. Since babies are not able to swallow and regulate it in time, they tend to drool. As the baby grows older and their oral function becomes more refined, this drooling will naturally stop, usually without the need for treatment.
