Question
Does using diapers affect a boy’s future fertility?
Answer
Boys who wear diapers correctly will not suffer from infertility in the future, and parents can rest assured. Although using either disposable or cloth diapers may temporarily raise the scrotal temperature, there is currently no scientific evidence to suggest that diaper use is linked to male infertility. During the fetal and infant stages, the seminiferous tubules within the testicles have not yet developed into the tubes capable of producing and maturing sperm. Therefore, wearing diapers will not affect a boy’s fertility in adulthood.
