Question

How to solve the problem of an infant’s crying with seizures?

Answer

Due to the incomplete development of the central nervous system in infants, when they encounter anger, fear, or discomfort, they may cry, causing the emotional center to become overly excited and temporarily suppress the respiratory center. Therefore, the baby may experience a breathing pause after a few cries, leading to blood reflux and causing symptoms such as purple lips. In severe cases, the whole body may become rigid, losing consciousness and accompanied by seizures. Usually, this condition will ease within half a minute, with muscles relaxing and returning to normal. However, in a few severe cases, it may last for 2 to 3 minutes.
