Question
My baby always has a fit and gets upset stomachs as well. Could it be inherited epilepsy from the generation above me? I’ve already completely suppressed it. What kind of help do I need: Will epilepsy still be inherited after self-healing?
Answer
Epilepsy is primarily caused by abnormal discharge of brain neurons, resulting in symptoms such as limb twitching, loss of consciousness, and drooling. It is usually diagnosed through a combination of medical history, clinical symptoms, and EEG. Treatment generally involves oral anti-epileptic medication to stabilize seizures. It’s important to monitor the blood drug concentration of epilepsy and pay attention to whether it is primary or secondary, considering specific circumstances for treatment.
