Question
What Are the Symptoms of Sudden Epileptic Seizures in Children?
Answer
In the early symptoms of childhood epilepsy, children sweat profusely on their heads when changing diapers and during deep sleep, which leads to localized impact, causing the children to dislike shaking their heads. When they shake their heads, friction is applied to the pillow, leading to acne over time. Additionally, the children become restless and easily awakened during deep sleep. During a grand mal seizure, the child loses consciousness suddenly, breathing stops, foam is spit out from the mouth, and the limbs twitch. This may be accompanied by tongue biting and enuresis (incontinence of urine), lasting for 1 to 5 minutes. After the convulsions stop, the child falls asleep.
