Question

For the past two days, there’s been a bit of a shock, and now there’s a bit of drowsiness. Sleeps for nine hours at a time, wakes up and then goes back to sleep. Not very interested in breastfeeding, loves to dry heave, a bit runny nose, and a little coughing. How can pediatric intracranial infection be diagnosed?

Answer

Acute central nervous system infectious disease. Clinical features include sudden high fever, altered consciousness, headache, neck stiffness, paralysis of the upper limbs and neck muscles, and shoulder blades. Post-infection sequelae are common, immunity persists after the illness, and meningitis usually resolves completely after general and symptomatic treatment.
