Question

What are the symptoms of cerebral palsy? I’ve been feeling weak lately and worry if I might have cerebral palsy.

Answer

Generally speaking, individuals with cerebral palsy can lead a life like that of a normal person, but they need to adhere to their treatment. The goal of treatment is to enable the patient to have as normal a life as possible, including going to school, working, and living independently. Although medical theory holds that brain cells are irreplaceable and cannot regenerate or recover, whether cerebral palsy can be cured remains an unknown. For patients aged six to eight and older, education should be the main focus, and treatment should not interfere with their enrollment in school for education.
