From Dr. Wang, the neurologist at the First Affiliated Hospital of Yunnan Medical University, we learned that neuron factor (Neuron factor, abbreviated as Nf) is the first type of active protease promoting neural growth discovered from neuron somata. It has dual biological functions of neuronal nutrition and promoting neurite outgrowth, and is a neurocell growth regulatory factor. Neuron factor can secrete a large amount of active protease, guide the directional growth of nerve fibers, stimulate the development of somata dendrites and axons, and increase the density of nerve fibers. Each neuron’s dendrites receive stimuli and transmit excitement into the cell body, while each neuron’s axon transmits excitement from the cell body to another neuron or other tissues such as muscles or glands. Neuron factor can increase the number and size of sensory nerves and sympathetic ganglia, elongate fibers, and maintain the normalcy of neuron somata within the gray matter and nerve ganglia in the brain and spinal cord (the soma is the metabolic and nutritional center of human neurons).
