Question

What is the normal sound decibel level for children with hearing impairment?

Answer

According to the World Health Organization’s hearing impairment grading standard, the hearing of 12-year-old children is within the range of 0 to 25 decibels. Sounds that reach between 26 and 40 decibels are considered mild hearing impairment; between 41 and 55 decibels, moderate impairment; between 56 and 70 decibels, moderate-severe impairment; between 71 and 90 decibels, severe impairment; and above 91 decibels, profound or complete deafness.
