Question

Can a mother with hepatitis B’s surface antigen+ feed her baby breast milk?

Answer

Hello! It is recommended that you check for HBV-DNA and vaccinate your child against hepatitis B, and breastfeeding can be considered after antibodies are produced. The transmission of hepatitis B through breast milk is not yet definitively proven, so for safety reasons, you may opt for artificial feeding. If you have any questions, feel free to consult us.
