Question

Mom, my child has been experiencing enuresis recently. What could be the reasons? They haven’t been treated for it before, and I want to know what kind of disease it is?

Answer

Enuresis is usually due to neurological dysfunction or organic inflammation, such as damage to the nervous system or organ-related inflammatory diseases. Enuresis refers to the involuntary recurrence of urination during deep sleep or unconsciousness. From a clinical diagnosis perspective, enuresis includes two situations. One is enuresis disease, also known as bedwetting, and the other is enuresis syndrome, which not only involves urine excretion on the bed but also in clothes or other inappropriate places during non-deep sleep or when awake.
