Question
My baby just turned one month old, and lately, she’s been restless at night, tossing and turning with a flushed face. She starts crying soon after being put down, even after eating and changing her diaper. Gentle soothing doesn’t help either, but when held in my arms, her crying stops immediately, and she falls asleep quickly. What’s going on? Is she lacking in calcium?
Answer
A baby may be restless at night due to reasons such as a wet diaper, overwrapping, hunger, thirst, unsuitable indoor temperature, or overly thick bedding. By promptly addressing these issues, the baby can achieve a peaceful sleep. Moreover, some babies may cry persistently when it’s time to sleep. With patience from the parents, they will soon fall asleep soundly. Wishing the baby good health!
