Question

Can boys still grow taller in college? I’m 170 cm tall and feel quite short among my college peers. I haven’t felt any growth recently. In high school, I could still grow about 3 centimeters a year, but now it seems to have stopped.

Answer

It is recommended to undergo a detailed examination of the growth plates. If the plates are about to merge but have not fully merged, short-term use of growth hormones can be considered. Eat more vegetables and high-protein foods as well as high-quality protein foods and foods rich in calcium and zinc. Avoid malnutrition. Ensure sufficient rest and quality sleep. Engage in physical exercise such as skipping rope and playing basketball. If the growth plates have already closed, you can consider leg lengthening surgery at a regular hospital.
