Question

My child frequently has a high fever, often reaching over 39 degrees Celsius. What should I do?

Answer

If an infant or young child’s body temperature exceeds 38 degrees Celsius, it is considered a fever. For low fevers below 38 degrees, parents can choose to increase fluid intake and observe. If the body temperature is above 38 degrees, medication to reduce the fever can be used. For high fevers above 39 degrees, in addition to taking fever-reducing medication, physical cooling (cooling) measures should be taken, and adequate hydration should be maintained.
