Question
My baby is two years old and has small blisters on the soles of his feet. They’ve started to peel a bit! Later, I noticed a patch of small blisters on the soles of his feet. Could it be athlete’s foot?
Answer
If the baby has long-term sweaty feet, it’s easy to develop sweat rash, which is often accompanied by fungal infection, leading to athlete’s foot. It’s suggested to soak the baby’s feet in warm water, apply some Dactarin, wear comfortable and fitting shoes for the baby, change socks and insoles frequently if the feet tend to sweat, wash them after use, and dry them in the sun. Avoid sharing socks with others to prevent cross-infection.
