Question
The child is 8 years old, and the foreskin of the little chicken cannot be rolled outwards. He often says that the foreskin is stuck together, causing great discomfort. Has there been any previous treatment, and what was the outcome? What kind of help is needed?
Answer
Most children under the age of 6 or 7 have adhesions between the foreskin and the glans. Generally, this is not a serious issue, and infections are rare. If infection occurs again, it is recommended to consult a urologist at the hospital. If a definitive solution is desired, a doctor can separate the foreskin and glans (manually, not surgically) to prevent future growth. It is not advisable to perform a circumcision on children too early; waiting until after puberty when growth and development are mature is not too late, and even before marriage can be considered.
