Question

Why does a two-month-old baby often vomit while drinking formula? Will it be better for the baby’s digestion if we mix two different brands of formula?

Answer

If a baby frequently vomits after consuming a particular brand of formula, it might be because the baby is not tolerant of that formula. It is suggested to try using probiotics, lactase, or pepsin oral solutions to help with absorption, and also consider using probiotic supplements. Additionally, after the baby finishes drinking milk, do not let them lie down immediately; instead, hold them upright and gently pat their back to burp them. Pay attention to the feeding speed as well; do not feed too quickly to prevent vomiting. It is not recommended to mix different brands of formula for consumption.
