Question

My baby has diarrhea, several times a day. The stool is watery and foamy. Previous treatment and effectiveness: Not seeking specific help. I want to know how to take probiotics? Before or after meals?

Answer

Probiotics are best taken after meals. They have the effect of adjusting the intestinal flora, and the dosage should be determined according to your baby’s weight. They can be taken with water or milk above 40℃ or taken directly. For those under 28 weeks old: one packet per time, once or twice a day; for those over 28 weeks old: one to two packets per time, once or twice a day. Avoid eating undigested and overly greasy or extremely cold foods, maintain a light diet, and drink plenty of water.
