Question
I pulled my hair during breastfeeding and still breastfeed the baby. A few days later, I heard that it’s not allowed to pull hair during breastfeeding. What should I do? Does it bother the eyes? Do I need to take the baby to the hospital for a thorough check-up?
Answer
Hair pulling by a breastfeeding mother mainly leads to dry, brittle hair and blockages. Additionally, medications can be harmful to the baby through breast milk, so it is recommended to temporarily stop breastfeeding. The interference with the baby needs to be observed further, and any monitoring data at this point will not yield results.
