My nine-month-old daughter has had redness below her vulva for several days after using diapers! I’ve been using butt cream, but there’s no improvement. I took her to the village doctor yesterday, and he suggested using warm water for cleaning and applying some powder. But today, it’s not getting better; it’s actually getting redder! I don’t know what the cause is and how to treat it. Please help! Urgent!!!

I recommend purchasing a bottle of calamine lotion, clean the vulva thoroughly, and apply it to the affected area. Do not apply it to the mucous membranes inside the labia. Wash and apply after each wetting. If you feel very dry, apply some olive oil before your baby’s afternoon nap. Once it’s healed, try a different brand of diapers to see if there’s a difference.
