Question

How to deal with the symptoms of a 11-month-old baby’s high fever?

Answer

When a child has a fever, immediate measures such as cold compresses and bathing should be taken to help lower the temperature. Wet cold towels can be placed on the forehead, or ice packs wrapped in dry towels can be applied to the head, neck, armpits, and groin for better effect. Alternatively, a small towel soaked in a 75% alcohol and water solution (1:1 ratio) can be used to wipe the head, neck, armpits, chest and back, and limbs. It is recommended to avoid giving other anti-inflammatory drugs and cold remedies to young children unless instructed by a doctor. For the use of Pudendal Blue (Pinyin: Pǔdìlán), it is advised to consult a doctor and follow medical instructions.
