Question
My baby started with a runny nose and cough three days ago. The coughing is worse at night, and better during the day. I’ve started giving her medication including pediatric lung heat cough granules, pediatric paracetamol, chlorphenamine, and amoxicillin. She didn’t cough last night, but she started coughing again tonight, and it seems to have worsened after eating some snacks. Is the condition getting worse?
Answer
The recurrence of a runny nose and nasal congestion might be symptoms of a respiratory infection, which could trigger coughing again after the infection. If the symptoms continue to improve, it may be considered whether there is a case of bronchitis or pneumonia. It is recommended to continue observing and consult with a doctor.
