Question

Is it too early for a baby to hold up at one month? My baby can already be held upright at one month, just over 40 days old, and their head can support itself with some effort. Isn’t it a bit early to let the baby support their own head? Now that the baby is 70 days old, I feel like the baby’s head is a bit off-center. Is there anything I should worry about? Please advise from an expert.

Answer

In this case, there is no cause for concern. If the baby is a bit chubby and their head appears off-center, it’s still normal. I first recommend using a molding pillow for the baby. At the same time, consider having a medical check-up to rule out congenital torticollis. It could also be related to the baby holding up too early or the baby’s head being too large, or even congenital torticollis. First, use the molding pillow for the baby, and then go for a health check-up to see if there is any congenital torticollis.
