Question
My baby was fine a few days ago, but today, after eating milk, she vomited a lot. Is there a problem with the baby drinking both breastmilk and formula milk?? (The breastmilk is expressed with a pump and then warmed before she drinks it!) Previous treatment and effects: everything was normal upon discharge! What kind of help do I need: what should my baby do now? What kind of medicine should she take?
Answer
Vomiting in babies needs to be considered not only in terms of the milk itself but also whether the baby might be uncomfortable. For example, newborns with infections may show symptoms like not eating, crying, or fussing. Therefore, it’s suggested to check if the baby has any other abnormal signs, such as fever, besides nothing else. If everything else is fine, then there’s probably no big issue. Newborns are not recommended to take medication on their own, and prescriptions should be obtained only after a diagnosis by a qualified pediatrician.
