Question

My baby is 7 months old and has been shaking their head a lot recently. Is this because they are uncomfortable? Will it affect their development? Previous treatment and effectiveness: None. I would like to get some help: I just want to know if this shaking will affect my baby’s development, as many mothers say that their babies of the same age also shake their heads this month.

Answer

Shaking the head is not related to calcium deficiency. Babies with calcium deficiency often find it hard to fall asleep, and even harder to reach deep sleep. They may wake up suddenly at night, crying loudly. Or they may experience symptoms such as acne on the head. When your baby shows these symptoms of calcium deficiency, you can go to the hospital for a detailed trace element examination and diagnosis. If found to be deficient in calcium, you can take medication as directed by the doctor and have regular follow-up checks.
