Question

My child, who is three and a half years old, suddenly fell off the trampoline and couldn’t get up, saying that his knee hurt. The hospital X-ray showed no fracture, and there was no swelling. Now, after five days, he still can’t walk. I’m very worried. How long will it take to recover, and do I need to have appropriate exercises to walk?

Answer

If there’s no fracture issue, it should be soft tissue damage. There’s a possibility that due to the child’s young age and strong bone resilience, there might be a greenstick fracture (no fracture line), which is very mild and almost shows no symptoms, and it will heal on its own later. If there are obvious symptoms, manual reduction may be necessary. Of course, it’s also necessary to closely observe the child’s pain condition. If the pain cannot be relieved or even alleviated, it should be checked at a better hospital.
