Question
Is it harmful for my baby, who is 45 days old, to drink a lot of water? My baby has been drinking water since around ten days old, with the nurse giving him 30ml of water every morning, followed by breastfeeding. In between, we add formula, and after the formula, we rinse the bottle with another 30ml of water to give to the baby. On average, he drinks 40 to 50ml of water per day. I heard today that drinking water is bad for a baby’s kidneys. Has my baby been disturbed by this? Is the issue serious?
Answer
Based on the symptoms you described, your child’s condition is due to the fact that babies need a certain amount of water daily, so there is no interference. Your child’s condition falls within the normal range and poses no harm to him, so I suggest you don’t worry too much. The above is my suggestion for the question “Does my baby’s long-term water intake have any effect?” I hope it helps you. Wishing you health!
