Inquiry
Doctor, I currently have a one-year-old and three-month-old baby who was born with two moles on their face, the size of a thumb nail. After eight laser treatments, the effect has been minimal. The doctor now suggests surgery, and I am worried about the potential impact of anesthesia on the baby’s brain, as well as the size of the scars after surgery. Could you please help clarify these concerns?
Response
The moles on the baby’s face remain after multiple laser treatments, and it is recommended to surgically remove them for a more reassuring pathological examination. Regarding anesthesia, it should have no significant impact on the baby’s brain within the generally safe dosage range.
