Question

Why does the child keep choking on milk?

Answer

There are many reasons why babies choke or spit out milk, and if it’s just a mild case, there’s no need for special treatment. Simply patting the baby on the back can help. However, if the spitting out or choking is severe enough to cause projectile vomiting, it’s important to take the baby to the hospital for a check-up. Once the cause is determined, appropriate treatment can be given. Generally, these symptoms will gradually improve once the baby starts eating solid foods.
