Question

How to treat children with language disorders?

Answer

The most common cause of “delayed language development” is hearing impairment, often due to recurrent ear infections or “wet ears.” Delayed language development could be caused by physical abnormalities, such as “cerebral palsy,” or genetic factors, making it difficult for patients to control the different body parts needed for speaking. If a child rarely speaks or interacts with parents, they may start speaking later than other children. Children from bilingual families, left-handers, or those who use both hands may also speak later. Parents should communicate more with their children and help them relax.
