Question
Can babies eat oral glucose?
Answer
Oral glucose contains glucose that can digest body heat and has protective effects on the liver. Vitamins B1 and B2 are important coenzymes for the metabolism of sugar, proteins, and fats, which are necessary for the oxidation of respiration; Vitamin B6 is a cofactor for various different coenzymes, involved in the metabolism of amino acids and fats; Vitamin C is involved in the hydrolysis process and cellular respiration; Vitamin D2 promotes calcium and phosphorus absorption and redistribution as well as the formation of new bone, maintaining and adjusting the serum calcium-phosphorus levels. Children must be administered under adult supervision. High doses can lead to symptoms such as irritability, fatigue, and lack of appetite. Occasionally, there may be skin redness and itching. The urine may turn yellow.
