Question

Could frequent abdominal pain in children be related to the thickness of the small intestine wall? If the small intestine moves slowly, could it cause pain around the navel and stomach? Is consuming too much yogurt also one of the causes of abdominal pain? Please describe past treatment situations and outcomes.

Answer

  1. Take adequate rest, eat easily digestible foods, and avoid greasy and irritating foods.
  2. Use antidiarrheal medication such as 1-2 grams of bismuth subcarbonate, three times a day; and 4 milliliters of compound camphor tincture, three times a day.
  3. Use antispasmodics such as 0.3-0.6 milligrams of atropine, three times a day; and 15 milligrams of propyphenazone, three times a day.
  4. Choose antibiotics based on the results of bacterial culture and drug sensitivity tests, as the treatment time needs to be longer. Also, use 3% coptis liquid or 200 milliliters of garlic infusion (5-10 grams), enema retention once a day for 10-20 days as a course of treatment. Other treatments are similar to acute enteritis.
  5. For spiritual nausea and vomiting, use 10 milligrams of Librium, three times a day; and 15-30 milligrams of phenobarbital, three times a day.
