Question
My child is 6 months old. Can she eat steamed eggs and tofu brain? Are there any bad effects? I need assistance with: Can a 6-month-old child eat steamed eggs and tofu brain?…
Answer
Infants can start solid foods from around 4 months old, but tofu brain is suitable for around 7 to 8 months. Guidance: Different methods of providing food for different age groups, which may be helpful to you (excluding milk): 1-month-old - plain water; 2 to 3 months - Vitamin AD (cod liver oil); 1:1 juice and vegetable juice (can be homemade); 4 to 6 months - starch foods, rice porridge, rice noodles, egg yolks (start with 1/8 and gradually increase to 1); noodles, vegetable puree, thin porridge; 7 to 8 months - baked bread slices, biscuits, meat puree, liver puree, tofu, chopped vegetables, etc. 9 to 12 months - minced meat porridge, noodles, bread, rice noodles, fruit… Note: Seafood, shrimp, crab, and egg whites contain more allergenic proteins and are more likely to cause allergies. Therefore, these types of food should not be provided too early or in large quantities. Additionally, when introducing solid foods, one should introduce them one at a time. Wait until the child adapts to one before introducing another to avoid placing too much pressure on the child’s digestive system. If the child is sick or has physical discomfort (such as vomiting), stop providing solid foods until the child recovers.
