Question

What are the possible reactions to furazolidone enteric-coated tablets?

Answer

Furazolidone enteric-coated tablets may cause gastrointestinal reactions such as nausea, dry heaves, anorexia, and nausea and vomiting. They can also trigger allergic reactions like rash, drug fever, leukopenia, hepatitis, and adverse nervous system reactions such as headache, dizziness, anorexia, myalgia, and nystagmus. Additionally, they may lead to symptoms of acute pneumonia such as high fever, cough, chest pain, pulmonary infiltration, and increased eosinophils. Long-term use for more than six months may result in interstitial pneumonia or pulmonary fibrosis. It is recommended to take them with food and for at least a 7-day course of treatment, with close monitoring.
