Question

The baby now has a lot of white tongue coating on his tongue, and I’m not sure if this is normal. Could you please help me clarify this? There has been no previous treatment or effectiveness.

Answer

If there are only white coatings and no other abnormalities, it can be observed temporarily. This is also just an individual difference. No treatment is needed. Additionally, some people scrape off the tongue coating, but this is not advisable as scraping it off does not cure the disease; it merely masks the symptoms. If it is a disease, this is just a manifestation of the disease, and it itself will not interfere with health. Scraping off the tongue coating is merely a form of closing one’s eyes to avoid seeing the problem.
