Question
I felt like I was still growing last year, but not this year. Is it because I’ve been exercising and it’s interfering with my growth? I really want to reach 180CM! Every night, I do sit-ups, push-ups, leg raises, and pull-ups. Do these high-intensity workouts affect height?
Answer
From a human physiological perspective, males are still in the growth and development phase between the ages of 18 to 20, so theoretically, you still have the opportunity to grow taller. There are many factors that affect height, including nutrition, lifestyle, and genetics. As for exercise, during the growth and development stage, excessive intense physical activity may have a certain impact on growth and development, but the workouts you described should fall within the correct exercise range. As long as your body can handle it, there’s no problem. Lastly, regarding height, I want to say that you shouldn’t strive for it; just go with the flow. Height will never be an obstacle on your path to success. Best of luck to you!
