Question
How to treat a baby’s cold, fever, and diarrhea?
Answer
If the baby has an inflammation, you can try giving “Mama Love” or “Mengtuo Powder” for treatment, along with symptomatic anti-inflammatory medication. If the baby’s body temperature exceeds 38 degrees Celsius, you can use fever-reducing medicine and physical cooling methods, such as alcohol wipes on the arms, armpits, and back of the knees. In case of high fever, seek medical attention immediately after stabilizing the body temperature. Depending on the condition of intestinal infection, antibiotics such as coptis chinensis, or new penicillin, pipemidic acid, and other drugs may be required. Additionally, maintain adequate water and electrolyte balance by giving the baby more warm water to drink, reducing milk intake, and temporarily stopping or reducing complementary foods. For formula-fed babies, you can temporarily provide diluted milk formula, rice gruel, and other easily digestible foods and gradually increase milk intake.
