Question
My baby is 5 and a half months old. For the past two days, he’s been running a high fever of 38.7°C. He felt better after taking antipyretics, but he had a fever again at night. After receiving two days of intravenous treatment, the fever subsided, and his temperature dropped to around 35°C. Now, the baby doesn’t seem very happy. What should I do, and what impact could this have on the child’s future health?
Answer
Hello, such a treatment process is common for babies and will absolutely not have any negative effects. Babies go through a recovery period, so try to keep your baby in good spirits. I suggest not to worry too much; the baby will gradually get better.
