Question

How to solve malnutrition in children?

Answer

The main causes of malnutrition include: 1. Long-term insufficient intake of nutrients. For example, infants may lack breast milk after birth, and prematurely adopting rice porridge and gruel as the basic food; or difficulties in breastfeeding due to cleft lip or palate; there are also a few children who develop malnutrition due to long-term picky eating, lack of meat, and snacking. 2. Poor digestion of nutrients. Children often experience nausea and vomiting or have accompanying pancreatic dysfunction and liver impairment, which hinder the digestion and utilization of nutrients.
