Question
What could be the cause if a child experiences spitting up, vomiting, and poor sleep after taking Ikuanshi at 22 days? Previous treatment and results: N/A How to help: What could be the cause?
Answer
For breastfed infants, normal stool appearance is yellow or golden in color, with a uniform consistency like a paste, having a sweet and sour odor but not smelling bad, without obvious mucus, occasionally with small pieces of milk curds or slightly green, occurring 3-5 times a day. Some infants may have up to 6-7 bowel movements a day, but each is not much in quantity and the consistency is good, with normal weight gain and good nutritional status. This is not a disease state and does not require any treatment. If the infant usually has 1-2 bowel movements a day but suddenly increases to more than 5-6 times a day, and the stool is more watery or contains undigested food residue, it’s necessary to go to the hospital for further examination.
