Question

What is the matter with neonatal diffuse alveolar damage?

Answer

Diffuse alveolar damage can be caused by a variety of different factors, including bacterial, fungal, and viral infections; inhaling many harmful gases; chemotherapy drugs, ingestion of toxic oils; traumatic or hemorrhagic shock; reflex factors, and other systemic diseases caused by various reasons. Is the neonate’s condition due to bacterial or fungal infections? There hasn’t been a clear cause determined yet. The main concern for a newborn immediately after birth is to stimulate their lungs to expand and breathe. The reason for the cyanosis all over the body is due to poor respiration, leading to insufficient oxygen saturation in the blood, causing the body to aspirate water and resulting in such a condition.
