Question
Can a 5 and a half month old baby eat steamed chicken eggs? My baby has been eating eggs for several days now, and recently, I’ve only been giving her steamed egg yolks. Yesterday, she ate more than usual, about a whole egg yolk, but then she suddenly started crying and vomiting at night. What’s going on? Is it because she ate too many eggs? I used a rice cooker to steam them; is that okay? I hope you can give me some help. Thank you!

Vomiting in children can be a pathological condition, commonly seen in acute enteritis, gastritis, pyloric spasm, hypertrophy, stricture, pneumonia, meningitis, and other diseases. The main features include nausea, increased abdominal pressure, frequent vomiting of milk, with large amounts of vomit that may contain milk clots and stomach contents, even mixed with green bile. Due to the influence of the primary disease, the child often appears very painful and keeps crying during vomiting.
When parents discover that their child is vomiting, they should pay high attention and take the child to see a doctor promptly. It is also important to provide the child with a well-rounded diet.
