Question
My baby, a 76-day-old male, has developed many small red bumps on the chin, around the eyes, and below the ears since two days ago. I’ve been using cool water to wipe him and iodine to disinfect, but they are still there today. They are more noticeable when he feeds or gets anxious, but less so when he’s asleep. Besides the peeling around the eye corners and under the ear, I also developed a face full of small red bumps today. Could it be seasonal allergies? How should I treat it? Thank you.
Answer
Under no circumstances should medication be used without first determining the cause and location of the condition. A detailed examination should be conducted to determine the illness before deciding whether antibiotic treatment is needed. The treatment for non-specific and specific inflammation differs and needs to be judged based on the specific situation. It is recommended to consult a doctor for a detailed examination to obtain an accurate diagnosis and treatment plan.
