Question
Can I directly take iron supplements if I haven’t checked trace elements at 28 weeks of pregnancy? Which brand of iron supplement should I take? I’m taking Centrum and calcium supplements because I haven’t had time to check in detail, so I’m worried about iron deficiency. The other day, I may have developed a nosebleed due to dry weather, could it be caused by iron deficiency anemia?
Answer
Taking appropriate iron supplements is generally harmless, but it’s not recommended to do so without a reason. It’s suggested to consume more iron-rich foods such as vegetables and pork liver. For the nosebleed caused by picking your nose, avoid doing so and drink more water. Also, consume lung-nourishing foods like carrots and chrysanthemum tea. Wishing you good health and happiness.
