Question

My son frequently wets the bed during his nap at kindergarten. Is there a way to help him?

Answer

It is advised not to scold or blame the child, but to encourage them and build their confidence in overcoming bedwetting. Parents should provide enough care and love to the child. Limit fluid intake after dinner, have the child urinate before bedtime, and wake them up at regular intervals during the night to urinate. In terms of medication, consider using Imipramine (Tofranil), a central nervous system stimulant that can reduce deep sleep. Take 25 to 50 milligrams orally each night, for 3 to 4 months continuously. If symptoms recur after discontinuing the medication, it can be administered again.
