Question

At 70 days old, our baby is at home in a room temperature of 24-27 degrees. Is this dressing appropriate? We use a thin blanket during naptime. Some people say we should dress the baby in pants and socks. Do we need to do this at this temperature? The baby has normal bowel movements, yellowish, not loose. The baby just eats a lot. Sometimes the baby spits up milk.

Answer

There’s no need to dress the baby too warmly. The baby is growing well, and they tend to get hot easily. Since the room is warm, there’s no need to dress the baby in too many clothes. This is fine. I suggest you take good care of the baby. After each feeding, remember to pat the baby’s back. The baby can wear as much as you do. Just feel the baby’s back; if it’s warm and dry, that’s just right.
